SalsaTrain's Merton Line Weekly Sunday Bachata & Salsa classes & dancing

All aboard! SalsaTrain's new launch the Merton Line each Sunday @ NEMCA 11 mins walk from Tooting Mainline Train Station. Beginners Bachata & Beginners/Improvers Salsa classes each Sunday from 3-6pm. SalsaTrain classes have been running each Weds for over 2 years now.

The classes are fun & interactive with Dominic Insta(Salsa_Legend) with over 20 years salsa experience, and Trish with 10 years teaching experience. Dominic's style is Predominately L.A. on 1/ cuban fusion. He was placed 1st in the Tropicana Tropics World Open Salsa Championship (Ama Division) 2003, has performed with a team of dancers at the 2005 UK salsa congress and placed as runner up in the European Open Salsa Championships (Cab 2007). He has also performed at the Scandinavian Salsa Congress 2009 in Sweden; as part of a team at one of the New York Salsa Congresses and instructed for many salsa promoters within the UK and Internationally.

During lockdown, Dom launched his weekly music show "Sundown Salsa Live" on Mixcloud and now plays regularly on OSSR radio every Friday 10am-12pm. Trish also teaches the beginners and 2nd improvers classes on Wednesdays & will assist in teaching these classes.

Lessons (45 mins long) include social practice. No partner necessary.

Boarding 3pm

1st stop - 3.15-4pm Beginners Bachata

2nd stop - 4.15-5pm Beginners or Improvers Salsa (both classes run simultaneously)

3rd stop - Social Practice 5-6pm

Homeward Bound 6pm

£10 for 1 class, £12.50 for 2 classes (both including social practice). Early bird tickets for 2 classes including party train for £7.50 available until 3pm each Saturday - 24 hours before SalsaTrain.

Boarding from 3pm.

The event will take place at the NEMCA (North East Mitcham Community Association in Mitcham South London (11 mins walk from Tooting Main Line Train Station) This venue is nice and spacious and COVID friendly and has a very comfortable feel with great wooden floor for learning and dancing. There are plenty of tables and seats available for up to 60 guests. There is also free parking outside the venue and on Woodland Way.

Upon arrival please come inside.
You will need to show your pre paid ticket on your phone or pay by card on arrival.
There is a water tank at the venue and kitchen will be available for teas/coffees.
Please wear trainers or something soft for the classes.
